God Created Them Male & Female: Children's Ministry Curriculum
Children today are bombarded with messages about embracing and participating in transgender ideology. Some schools are often actively involved in inculcating children into gender ideology. Many teachers are taught in continuing education classes that they must teach transgender theory and affirm children’s “gender identities.” Social media is replete with influencers and transgender groups that entice or coerce children into questioning their God-given sex, and gender clinics are popping up like weeds in cities across the country.
When children and young people are in the process of developing their identities, they are especially vulnerable to influences that pressure them toward one direction or another. We know that children have a strong tendency to believe and internalize what trusted adults tell them. “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 ESV). Transgender activism has hijacked this long-understood concept of child psychology in order to attack the foundational Word of God and one of the most fundamental aspects of being human: our maleness or femaleness.
For this reason, it is imperative that children be directly taught three things, preferably before they are introduced to heretical messages about personhood: God created people only as males and females. Some people don’t understand this, and may say that your parents, the church, and the Bible are wrong. God made you exactly the way you are. Advocates Protecting Children has created this K-5 curriculum for use by children’s ministry programs within faith-based organizations.
