A coming-of-age novel that tells the story of a boy who goes deaf after an accident. In the depths of his situation, he meets a band: a guitarist, a singer, and a drummer. With the turmoil of living without hearing on top of the inner battle of trying to convince himself he is okay, the boy picks up a lot of new things including entertaining friendships and perspectives.
Solo Seong. A boy whose world was once full of music, laughter, and the revving of engines. Now, everything's gone quiet. After an accident occurs, Solo finds himself stuck in a world of silence. As somebody whose life revolved around noise, it hit him like a truck. He battles damaged relationships, a muted life, and a loud mind that won't shut up no matter what he tries.
Alliteration. A band made up of three high school seniors: Booker Birmingham, Polly Powel, and Alto Altamura. The three band members' music collides with Solo's silence. Together, they help Solo travel the journey of mending broken bonds, overcoming challenges, and learning to be able to laugh again through minorly forced hangouts, shared lunches, and lots and lots of hugs.
