James Spicer's Chicago Alley Project, Volume Ten. This visual exploration is a thematic collection of photos depicting the less often seen back side of Chicago- the intricate and varied maze of alleys. Each volume consists of 50 full color photographs presented in High Dynamic Range (HDR) to bring out all of the glorious, cracked, and peeling details of asphalt, wood, shingles, and brick. While the front side of Chicago is rapidly receiving a facelift with new construction, the flip-side is slower to change and still offers a glimpse into the city's past, present, and a hint of the approaching future.
