One of the big problems of our present day and age is the confusion and unrest produced by our new-found sexual freedom. An Arrow To The Heart is about how three people-Jack Diamond, hero of the story Master Of The Welded Bead; Kirsten, a sculpted steel artist and welding instructor who takes over Jack's job at Morgan River Shipyard, and the wild card, Elvie, Kirsten's 18-year-old daughter-manage to work out a synergistic relationship despite all the human foibles of jealousy, fear, desire, need, etc. as balanced by two main ingredients: instinctive restraint, and communication.
